Are We Being Selfish By Having Children?

A few things to consider before you decide to become a parent

Get married, buy a house in the suburbs, have kids.

Society has conditioned us to aim for these goals. But given the state of the world, is it time that we stop placing so much pressure on people to have kids?

I’m a father of two.

I know what you’re thinking — pot calling the kettle black, right? But please, hear me out.

Like any parent, there’s nothing I want more than for my children to be happy. But there have been times when I’ve stopped and wondered if my wife and I did the right thing by having kids.

We chose to become parents, we are the ones that made the decision to bring more human beings into the world. It’s what we wanted.

My kids didn’t get a say in the matter. Neither did yours. But when you chose to bring a child into the world, did you take time to consider the world you’re bringing them into?

All parents want their kids to have a wonderful future, but have you thought about what exactly their future will look like?

Here are two important things to consider before you decide to become a parent.
