Thanks for taking the time to read and respond.

You’re absolutely right, other television shows do often utilize the stereotypical ‘housewife’ or ‘mother’ role for female characters. But my article does not discuss other shows, and I think the title makes it clear that the focus of the article is Peppa Pig.

Peppa Pig is the most popular children’s cartoon on the planet, with millions of viewers worldwide. Both of my children loved watching the show when they were two/three years of age. Is it wrong for me to take issue with behaviors exhibited by a character that my children loved to watch so much?

What you’re saying is, in an article written on the subject of Peppa Pig, I’m not allowed to voice my issue with that show’s portrayal of men, just because other shows happen to portray women in a negative light?
