I'm currently on holiday in Florida, visiting from the UK. Every day of this trip I've driven past the same billboard. It says the phrase "Shoot real machine guns!" followed by "Fun for the whole family!"
In what world do these sentences belong alongside one another?
The morning after the Uvalde shooting, there was a queue outside the local gun store. By what twisted logic do people come to the conclusion that children being shot in a school requires them to have more guns at home?
America's gun problem won't be resolved while the culture of gun glorification and worship remains.
Fix the culture, then the politics.
