In what way is he wrong about this? The millennial generation (which I’m a part of as well) are spending disproportionate amounts of time of their phones and social media. You don’t even need to look at the science to know this is true, just walk down a busy street!

He isn’t saying that putting your phone away is the solution to all our problems, what he is saying is that when you have a large group of people who spend more time interacting with their Facebook feed than talking to their partners, that’s a problem!

Like it or not, we have grown up in a world of instant gratification and satisfaction, and we are spending more and more time on our phones. That average smartphone user spends an entire day every week using their phone! Even when we spend time with our friends, we have our phones on the table. Why?
