Really well-written Casey. I remember my own naivety when I first joined the MPP, one of my first articles was published in The Startup and in my head I was convinced it wouldn’t be long before I was sipping Bahama Mama’s in the sun.

I didn’t appreciate, and I think others are guilty of this as well, is just how long it takes to monetize your content, beyond money that will pay for your morning coffee.

That being said, I love writing on Medium. It’s well worth it in my opinion. Thanks for sharing.
