I needed to read this today, thank you. My daughter started her second year of school on Wednesday and was incredibly anxious about going back. She enjoys school, but I think the separation scares her, which has led to many a morning of tears as she clings to me when it’s time to go in.

Watching the other children say goodbye to their parents without a care in the world is soul-crushing, as it immediately makes you feel like an inadequate parent.
